As I wrote earlier on tonight’s gig of KOOP in Belgrade, organizers moved the place of the concert from Kalemegdan to Sport Center 25.maj, at the open air of volleyball playing courts, close to river Danube. Concert begins at 23h, and expect great music journey on Danube with 9 musicians and great vocals of beautiful Japanese singer Yukimi Nagano and Earl Zinger (ex Galiano Rob Gallagher). Full information on the picture.
I was coping, beside other things, with Serbian journalist (those who live in Serbia know the ‘story’) who interviewed me (or I corrected their mistakes in the preview) on web publishing, science blogs, etc., that I didn’t notice that one of my favourite Scandinavian music group is coming very, very soon to Belgrade. Hallelujah! I wrote about KOOP earlier last year, and some of the colleagues gave me the info and now I checked on the Internet. Really poor information pool in Serbian language, actually there is none of the information I could get but via Compost music records, that they will play at the old town fortress of Kalemegdan, that is (one version) , and the other at TBC (wherever and whatever it is). Compost records announced tour dates, and KOOP will play on 1st of June, 2007, at 20h. I believe it will be on open air concert at Kalemegdan, but if anybody find out the information, write it here. You can listen to Koop Island Blues here or here.
I wouldn’t talk about politics or anything that strikes me these days, so I will add no news or anything particular. I am just expressing in poetic way by reminding you on these great music songs – No Government by Nicolette (Massive Attack vocal), and the latest from Norah Jones – Sinkin’ Soon. Personally, this one reminds me on Tom Waits. You choose. You have chosen.
Tickets for concert of Red Hot Chilli Peppers, on 26th of June in Indjija, are sold out in less in two weeks. But, for those who asked for buying additional tickets, you can apply here, @ the waiting list.
