New Year’s Concert 2007 with Zubin Mehta

After lots of petards, fireworks, pyrotechnics, and some of the concerts, and poor offered programs, the best policy for spending New Year’s Eve is to be surrounded by great company, friends, good music, food and drink, and following with joyful waking up and sunshine! Also, Day no.1 in 2007 starts with continuing holiday tradition: Great Performances returns to the splendor of Vienna’s Musikverein for the 23rd annual broadcast of the Vienna Philharmonic’s New Year’s Day celebration. Zubin Mehta leads the renowned orchestra in a selection of buoyant Strauss family waltzes, including the “Dynamiden,” by Josef Strauss and the timeless “Blue Danube,” by his brother, Johann Jr.

Musical program for thisĀ  morning/noon was splendid as always, enjoy.
